I'm trying to create the 'perfect meatballs recipe', but I must admit that I try often different recipes, like this one, that we really enjoyed.

Tried and Tasted event invites the blogger to 'try and taste' every month a recipe from a selected site.
It's a great opportunity to find many interesting sites, and to try new recipes like this: Mediterranean Chicken Kebabs.
It's from this month's blog, Meena´s Hooked On Heat: recipes from all over the world and many useful indian cuisine lessons and tips.

I added some lemon zest to the original recipe.


HerbsMediterranean Chicken Kebabs

Ingredients
400g lean ground chicken
1 onion
2 sprigs of fresh parsley
2 sprigs of fresh coriander
2 garlic cloves
1 red chili pepper or chili powder
1 tsp cumin powder
2 tbsp lemon juice
1 small piece of lemon zest
2 tbsp olive oil
1 egg
3 tbsp bread crumbs


Susan´s Mediterranean Chicken KebabsDirections
Mince together all herbs. Mix the chicken with herbs, cumin powder, olive oil, lemon juice, beaten egg and bread crumbs.
Shape into kebabs and grill until golden brown both sides.



Parsley SaladParsley Salad

A tip... I served the kebabs with a salad which matched their aroma: lettuce, parsley, coriander, olive oil and cheese cut into cubes.
