Homemade balm and mint yogurt
Dessert recipes with herbs
December 13, 2013
During summer I harvest lemon balm and mint, drying for my mint and balm tea mixture that I prepare every year.
I used this mixture for some homemade yogurt, and we really enjoyed it.
Balm and mint yogurt
Ingredients
Makes 3 jars:
30g sugar
65g plain yogurt with live cultures
430ml milk
3 tablespoons dried lemon balm and mint
Directions
Heat about half the milk until warm, remove from heat, add lemon balm and mint leaves and steep for 10 minutes.
Strain and add sugar, stirring well.
Mix the yogurt with the remaining milk, then combine the two mixtures, pour in the yogurt machine and turn it on.
