Chili peppers first pods
Chili peppers reality show
July 06, 2010
The seven chili plants from my Chili Peppers Reality Show now have flowers and pods.
Banana Sweet - The sweet one
The Banana Sweet had its first flowers and pods.
However, a windy night cut it at 10 cm from the base: look at the broken branch with all those little peppers.
I tought that Banana Sweet has been disqualified, but the plant has new flowers and a big unripe pod.
Frida Black - The mysterious one
If you are curious about the Frida Black, I can finally tell you that it has dark purple pods, almost black, 4-5 cm long.
The first pod is already ripening to orange.
Chili de Onza - The fancy one
Special mention to the Chili de Onza, loaded with many dark green pods, 5-6 cm long.
Aji Pineapple - The fruity one
This is an Aji Pineapple flower, with touches of green/yellow.
A few days ago, I found also the first small Aji Pineapple pod.
Ethiopian Brown Berbere - The exotic one
The Ethiopian Brown Berbere pods are about 3 cm long.
Habanero Black Congo - The extra hot one
The Habanero Black Congo is finally full of small white flowers.
Bode Orange - The ornamental one
The Bode Orange is struggling to recover from the transplant and has yellow leaves.
