Storing marjoram

MarjoramMarjoram blooms during the summer, and this is the right time to harvest it, preferably in the morning.

Harvest the tender stems with flowering tops, usually 10 to 30 cm long approx.

Wash and dry them well on a kitchen towel, then place in a dry place away from direct sunlight.


MarjoramAfter a few days the leaves will become dark green and dry.
Crumble with hands removing the stems, and store in a jar.

Dried marjoram can be added to various herbs mixture.
