Recipe: Caraway muffins
Savory pastries with aromatic herbs

I love sweet muffins, but I like to bake savory muffins too, soft snacks that will disappear after a few hours like these ones with caraway seeds.
Caraway muffins
Ingredients
Makes 12 muffins:
125g all-purpose flour
125g durum wheat flour
7g baking powder
1 pinch salt
40g grated parmesan cheese
40g grated cheddar
1 egg
40g butter
200ml milk
1 tbsp. caraway seeds
Directions
Combine the durum wheat flour, all-purpose flour, grated parmesan and cheddar. Add beaten egg, melted butter and caraway seeds.
Dissolve the baking powder in the milk, add to the mixture and mix well.
Spoon the batter into the buttered muffin pan 2/3 full.
Bake in preheated 200° C (392 F) oven 15-20 minutes. If needed, grill-bake for 1-2 minutes, until golden brown.
