Recipe: Spaghetti with sorrel and basil pesto

SorrelI harvested sorrel since June, adding it to my rooftop salads like the Salad with Basil Vinaigrette, or creating sauces and pesto.

JalapenonaWe enjoyed the Sorrel and Sunflower Pesto but this time I added some basil and chives, and also a Japalapenona chili. It's a Jalapeno variety chili, orange, crisp and fruity.

Spaghetti with Sorrel and Basil Pesto

Serves four:
340g spaghetti
40g sorrel leaves and stems
1 cup basil leaves
1 bunch (30-40 leaves) chives
1 red chili (optional)
40ml olive oil
50g pecorino cheese (or Parmesan)
40g almonds

Wash aromatic herbs and blend them at low speed with olive oil. Add the chili without stem and seeds, almonds and pecorino and blend until smooth.
Cook spaghetti normally and season with sorrel and basil pesto.
